Abstract:

This document is a draft of chapters 2 and 3 of the National Academy of Science’s report on computer security, along with the technical appendix, references, and glossary. Section 1 describes requirements for security, and section 2 the technology available for meeting them. Section 3 contains more technical detail on a number of specific topics. There is a list of references and a glossary at the end.
